Chiesa di San Vigilio

The parish church of St.Vigilio stands in the nice St.Vigilio Street characterized by rustic-noble houses with keystone windows and blazoned doorways, and intersected by picturesque lanes climbing up the Hill of St.Zeno. Already celebrated in 1194 and rebuilt in the 16th century, the parish church is flanked with a Romanesque bell-tower with mullioned windows; the Romanesque relief on the wall is worth a look. Over the portal of 1569 is the statue of St.Vigilio representing the bishop with a beard, unique in its own way.
