Once upon a time….Between truth and legend – someone says that the lord’s treasure is kept by the devil in person! – the mysterious Drena Castle is definitely an obligatory stop for the visitors of Lake Garda Trentino. It dominates the Sarca and Cavedine valley and represents the outpost of the northern road network. It is a massive fortress that dominates the enchanting rocks of the Marocche. On the hill rises the late thirteenth century rusticated ashlar tower. The Ghibelline castle wall, surrounding the entire building complex contains the remnants of the Count’s palace, the small church and other interesting buildings. The standing museum of archaeological finds has its seat inside.
Notice: As per the provisions of the Prime Minister's Decree of March 8, 2020, the castle is closed April 3, 2020.
