Busti di Fernando Cian - Torbole sul Garda

The sculptor Fernando Ciancianaini, know as Cian (1889-1954), lived in Torbole for many years working at Villa Cian. The terracotta figures adorn the church of the Madonna delle Vittorie and others decorate the local votive capitals, hotels, and piazza. Noteworthy examples of his work are the bronze in Piazza Alpini dedicated to Goethe, the great bard of Torbole, as well as one of Dante Alighieri situated in the public gardens at the Tourist Information Office.
